📜 Eminent South Africa Marketplace – Vendor Policy
1. Platform Role Disclaimer
Eminent South Africa Marketplace (the “Platform”) provides an online space where independent vendors (the “Sellers”) can showcase and sell their products directly to customers. Eminent does not manufacture, store, or ship the products listed by vendors unless otherwise stated.
We serve strictly as a facilitator of the transaction.
2. Seller Responsibilities
By signing up as a seller, you agree to:
Handle all logistics, packaging, and delivery unless otherwise agreed.
Respond to customer queries and complaints within 24–48 hours.
Process returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (South Africa).
Ensure accurate product listings, images, descriptions, and pricing.
Adhere to delivery timeframes advertised on your product pages.
3. Commission Structure
Eminent will charge a 10% commission (excluding VAT) on every successful sale made through the platform.
This fee will be automatically deducted before payouts to the seller.
Payouts are processed weekly or biweekly (you can specify), with a minimum withdrawal threshold of RXX.
4. Prohibited Items
You may not list, sell, or distribute:
Counterfeit goods
Illegal or stolen items
Restricted or dangerous products (flammables, weapons, etc.)
Products violating copyright or trademarks
Violations will result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
5. Refunds & Returns
Sellers are fully responsible for handling refunds, returns, or exchanges as per their own store policy and South African consumer law.
Eminent does not process or facilitate refunds directly unless the product was supplied by Eminent itself.
Sellers must clearly display their return/refund terms on each product listing.
6. Logistics & Delivery
Sellers are responsible for arranging couriers or delivery of all orders placed through the platform.
Tracking info must be updated within 48 hours of order confirmation.
Late or failed deliveries will impact seller performance and may lead to penalties or delisting.
7. Disputes
Eminent may act as a neutral party in disputes but will not enforce refunds unless sellers violate consumer law.
Repeated customer complaints may lead to a review or suspension of the vendor account.
8. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or remove any seller that:
Violates marketplace policies
Repeatedly receives negative feedback
Engages in fraud or misrepresentation
9. Limitation of Liability
Eminent is not liable for damages, product defects, or customer dissatisfaction related to third-party vendor products. All claims must be directed to the seller.
10. Policy Updates
Eminent reserves the right to modify these policies at any time. Sellers will be notified via email prior to any major changes.
